I’m happy to announce that the Community News plugin is having some good progress at the moment.
A while ago I told you I would pick up the project again, and now version 2.0 will be soon ready for some test runs ![]()
If you are willing to help me test it, please throw me an email.
As soon as it is ready, everyone who contacted me will get a link to the beta version. For now, I don’t have a date when it will be done yet, but it will be soon.
Forums!
As you might have noticed, there is a new link at the top of the site, directing to forums. I have set up these forums so I can keep things more organized, since looking into hundreds of comments isn’t really handy. If you have any questions, suggestions or anything else; you now have the chance to write a nice topic about it!

The beta will be available within one week!
Do not hesitate to send me an email if you want to join the beta test!

I’d love to try the beta and report any issues and or suggestions.
1 question for you. Just curious. Why not use “Post type” and place this Submitted content into the WP Core ie: wp_posts instead of wp_fv_community_news?
Thanks,
Gregg

The reason why I am not added the news to wp_posts, is because the news is something completely different then the regular posts, and I want to keep both separated from each other.

So if I want the community posts to become regular posts on my blog after I approve them, is there an easy way to move them to wp_posts?

Allo
Are you still developing version 2? There seems to be some delay in getting it out? Can you please email me V 2 so I can test it on my blog.
thanks.
